I am trying to put a couple of songs on a slideshow I made for my recent class reunion. I am using windows movie maker to put the thing together, then uploading it to You Tube. My problem is that You Tube accepts the video and then a day later, removes the audio (songs) because they are copywrited to Sony or someone else. Yet I look all over You Tube and the same songs (Boston More Than a Feeling is one) are up on You Tube put up with lyrics and the music is just fine. I am missing something? I tried to change the name of the wav file that I used for the music and it still silences the audio. Any suggestions? Oh…if you want to look at the video, my website is http://www.north1979.com

People have found ways to beat the algorithm that detects copyrighted music…but it's more than just chopping the beginning or end off. I believe there might also be some beta service on YouTube that allows you to insert copyrighted music after you upload the video, but it has to be songs from their library. ...I remember reading about it a few months back, but never investigated. If you want, you can send me the video and I'll encode it and store it on my server and you'll be able to embed it on your page the same way. |
