I have been around since 1998, the fall to be exact, and haven't ever been able to fully leave since.

Joined the old board right before it closed in '97 or '98 then moved to this board when I got notice Jer created it

First started posting around Christmas '99.  Lurked for a few months prior because I had worked with C-pher.

99'. probably summer, as I'd just discovered BNL and was looking for things about them online.

there was a year or so that I wasn't really coming here, but then I came back and have been back ever since :)

I remember a board with a password for a short time…don't remember how I got on.  I want to say that it was linked from a Jer's page but I don't remember…then we went to the one that this one was built on.

I don't remember when that was.

I remember finding the board because I was interested in this band that had a song that sounded like "Lying in Bed, just like Brian Wilson DEAD".

I want to say it was in 1997. There was no password. I actually had to sneak on to the ONE computer at work we had that had the internet.

Cpher and Ckel were my idols.

I wanted so much for the Flaming Ladies of the Chatter to like me and will admit to school boy crushes on several of them.

Then the dark days came. Someone took over control and the board got ugly and eventually crashed.

After that, I was hanging around on some crazy kid from Ontarios board for a while, when one day I got a message from someone that the chatter was back. That was in December of 2000. I know because it was right before I met the band on the eve of my 40th.

I guess the rest is history…..

Summer 1999.

I want to say sometime around 2000, could have been a little earlier.  I've come and gone a few times, but am here to stay now.  How could I live without you guys?  :-)

Jen only knew I existed because she liked New Glarus beer when she found out I was from Wisconsin.

Then Jer started one
Then Darthy took over Jer's board so the choco one was created
How did we end up back at Jer's? Did someone get it back?
At some point the people over at MYSD.org had a board and I believe they called their board the Chatter as well
Then spammers became out of control and Richard created this version

So that's 5 chatters by my count. Geeeez that's a lot.

I'm just blown away that I've been on this board for ten years!
