http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,552021,00.html You have got to be fucking kidding me. I LOVE Yard Sales…and we have them all the time to clean out our house and make a little dinner money. It seems that I might be fined 15 million dollars for selling something at a yard sale. Our Government has offically flipped it's lid. |

And the story is about recalled products. Don't sell recalled products, and you can have a yard sale. Talk about a TREMENDOUS leap in logic. |

Seriously, C-pher. Delete Fox News from your favorites. They have horrible reading comprehension skills. The government as put in regulations for release of goods to prevent people from reselling recalled products. They have released guidelines to educate the public. People should NOT be reselling recalled children's goods, PERIOD. Now, here comes the part where you have to think before reacting: The yard sale police are not going to be stopping at every yard sale in America to tear you down. If you're selling recalled products at your yard sale, you're a jerk and deserve to be punished. This is to try to prevent people from being jerks. Now, if you've actually read past the first couple of pargraphs: CPSC spokesman Scott Wolfson says the fines are intended for large companies with serious infractions. "CPSC is an agency that has used its penalty powers over its 30-year history against companies," Wolfson told FOXNews.com. "CPSC is not seeking to pursue penalties against individuals hosting a garage sale or yard sale, we are encouraging them to take the right steps to not resell recalled products." Of course, the article continues with Faux News' crack legal ANALyst stirring up panic and fear as they do so well. |
