See, they are reporting that a bunch of White people are storming Obama's speach because he's a black president.  They talked about the upset man with a semi auto assult rifle and pistol on his hip.  That we're a bunch of gun toting "white" people pissed off because we're somehow racist.

Do you want to see this white supremacist who showed up with an AR-15 and pistol on his hip?

Here's the white people showing up.

They edit out the black man with the gun.

They say white men with guns are angry a black man is president.

Who's making this a race issue now? It's more than incredible…it should be criminal.

I hate when the media makes up crap to make people look more threatening than they already are..

This guy showed up at an Obama Speech and wasn't harassed because it was his right to do this.  More people should be doing this…Well, not to that extent. I think that it was a little nutty to show up with all that gear.  But he can…and he did.  And he was responsible, courteous, and wasn't thrown out.

If more people exercised their rights this way…it wouldn't be that insane.  And maybe slowly our rights wouldn't be eroded by people that have no clue.  I’ve invited MANY legislators to take my class for free.  People that are making up these rules and laws have no clue what’s out there…even in our own state.  I haven’t had one respond or take me up on the offer.

It’s back to education…but people don’t want to hear it.  When things become a mystery because it’s taken away…it becomes a quest.  And that’s when bad things happen.

Look, you have just as much right to watch MSNBC (the blatantly liberal channel) as I do to watch FOX NEWS (the blatantly conservative channel) and get pissed off. But if you want to get into it about things that are completely blown out of proportion - or HEY - let's try LIED ABOUT - then don't march over talking about retarded liberal media and pretend retarded conservative media doesn't exist - or that it doesn't muck up the truth more than anything else.

Despite the fact that I agree with MSNBC most of the time, I've decided to stop washing it because it's shit-journalism. No channel should be able to present itself as a news channel with that much unchecked, undefended editorial. People make stupid fucking decisions when they base their decisions on television.

Oh, and you'd be happy. I rolled around liberal Chicago last weekend alongside my deer-hunting boyfriend in is NRA ballcap. No one yelled at us, which is a lot better than we'd have done if I'd worn my prochoice ballcap out to the burbs. Guaranteed.

Modern politics is all about polarizing the people, and the media latches right on to that because it brings in the viewers.  The funny thing is, both parties are practically the same, yet people fight over them like it's a Red Sox/Yankees game.  The Dems are no where near socialists…they're just like the Reagan-era Republicans.  And the Republicans are just trying not to be like the Democrats…which has made them all a bunch of religious whacknuts.  And the couple of guys that hold true to their party's core tenants are shrugged off as nutcases (eg. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich).

Everyone wants to be a part of something and fight for something.  If there's nothing to fight for, they just start making things up.  That's where 24-hour news channels come in.
