BNL Chatter / Barenaked Advice / How do I???

Missy Jul 1st 11:41 am

How do I get a hold of the new BNL Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, its sold in Canada, is it sold here too?

How do I get rid of spiders, we have several little ones coming into our bedroom window on a daily basis and we already had the apt. complex spray for them? Any ideas?

As for the spiders, I would go out and buy a bottle of Ortho Home Defense bug killer. Read the directions and then spray it all over the window sills and screens and along the base of the wall under the window.

Works for me all the time…..

Sorry, no help on the ice cream…didnt know that.

I want BNL icecream, too! Looks like we'll have to travel to Canada for now. Maybe we can start an online petition to Ben and Jerry's? ;-)

Why would anyone want to get rid of spiders?

Spiders keep all the other bugs in you house under control…

I welcome spiders in my house.  They hide up in the corners and snatch up all the moths and flyes that sneak into the house.

hmmm.. looks like there may be a roadtrip to Canada eh?

I should go check out the record store and see if there are there.. lol

My man called Ben and Jerry's and they said it's only going to be sold in candada and they won't ship! ;o( The flavour sounded really good too!

oh geesh.. I can't believe I typed "record" instead of "grocery" store… just so used to these guys with cd's… not ice cream….

sounds pretty yummilicious… going to search for some this weekend…

Not fair! hahahahhaha

I love Ben and Jerry's but my pet peeve is they have too damn much chocolate, in too large of chunks, in their ice cream.  It's like biting into a big slab of wax.  I'm just not a fan of candy in my ice cream most of the time.

Missy Jul 4th 11:08 am

I love it too, but i try to stay away from it because it's too many damn calories! I eat the chunky monkey once every 6 months or so, it's so yummy!

Jen! I knew there was a reason I liked you! lol

I hate candy in my ice cream. I don't like cold chocolate and never have.

I do, however, like cookie dough in my ice cream, but only the kind you get at the ice cream shops. The ones you buy have--too much chocolate in them!

I found a non-egg choco chip cookie dough recipe that I use to make some for toppings at home. I shave the chocolate tho, so no chunkies.

Cpher…you sick puppy.

I hate spiders, but, alas, I know they exist. So, I've made a deal with them. They may continue living as long as they do not show themselves to me. Once they break that rule, they die. It's that simple.

Hell, just killed a whole pre-school of baby spiders the other day. Little fuckers.

Not an ice cream fan (you know, with it being so cold here in Canada all year long, hey David:)), but I did try this ice cream out for obvious reasons, and I have to say, it was pretty good! The chocolate wasn't too chunky Jen. I agree with you on that one! Subtle is better!

heck.. I eat ice cream outside.. with my jacket unzipped in minus 20 degree weather!!  Now that i a true Canadian… we don't wait till our igloo melts…  ;O)

Missy Jul 13th 8:45 am

Ah, you are so lucky Jessica! ;o)

The ice cream sounds yummy!

My apartment complex won't spray for spiders.  It is an exercise in futility since our apartment is in the woods.  I see a few around here, but not too many.  If they get in the shower, I try to give them an opportunity to run away, but if they don't figure out how to get out, then they sometimes get washed down the drain.

The BNL ice cream is almost identical to the "Everything But The…" Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

It might be the same ingredients, but I already threw away the container so I can't do a comparison.

Check it out!
