I say good for the BoSox guy that planted the jersey.  If nothing else, it made the Yanks look like idiots.

Ummm ... considering that the Red Sox have won 2 championships in 4 years (2004 & 2007), I'd say that any curse has been lifted for a while ...

What kills me is the waste of time and money to dig the stupid thing up.  Its not like the shirt in the concrete created an instability problem or anything.  Now, I'm not saying that what he did was right, but I do think that the Yankees overreacted.

It's all about PR.  If word got out to the general public that the Yankees organization let a Sox jersey stay buried in the stadium, the fans would go apeshit.  The only stupid people in this situation are the baseball fans.  Curses, hexes, lucky rituals, rally caps, etc…all nonsense.
