Ok, two things amelia said/did yesterday completely cracked me up… and made me realize how much our behaviors affect the little ones in our lives. Keep in mind -- the kid is 5. Yesterday morning, Amelia was looking in her closet to pick out school clothes. She puts her hands on her hips and says, "Well, I WAS wanting to wear a beer shirt, but I probablly shouldn't wear that to school." WTF? For the record she does not HAVE a beer shirt. Then last night, as I finished my workout on our elliptical, she said, "Hey mom, you worked hard. I'm going to get you a beer." LOL. She grabs a beer from the beer fridge and tries extends it my way. I said, "what kind of beer is that?". "A pale ale", she says. Um, she was right.

She doesn't have a beer shirt? *evil grin* No shock here…Looks like she has graduated from knowing what type of milk she is served at a restaurant by taste to identifying beer right out of the fridge. I fully expect her by 7 years to be able to sit in the audience at a concert and id the guitars on stage from 50 feet away….. "Mom, that's a 1956 Fender Stratocaster, I can tell by the shape of the whammy bar". She's all you. |

The crazy thing is, we never TRIED to teach her the beers. She's starting to read now, and just the other night was like, "Hey, dad's drinking a Miller Lite". |

That is too funny. But, hey, if you can't atleast train them to get you the right beer, what's the point? ;) |
