If you had the ability to go back in time and see a band live that you never had the chance to see for whatever reason….who would it be and what song would mean the most to you? Mine….Supertramp. One of my most favorite bands from my high school days. I never got the chance to see them live…for whatever reason. I really regret it to this day. Specifically…this song. I would literally break down. Hide in Your Shell. I hear it and I get so emotional…. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LwSdUpeLDc If the lead singer Roger Hodgson ever gets anywhere near the midwest, I will give my left and right nut to see him. He is touring this summer, but in Europe. What about you? |

Well, it's good to know that you'll keep your center nut. |

Queen…would have loved to have seen Mr Mercury. "Sail Away Sweet Sister" still one of my all-time favorite songs… |
| bnldavid | Apr 8th 9:10 pm
well d….how do you know I DONT have 3 nuts. *g* |

James Brown. I was supposed to see him on my birthday once but my friends got me too drunk and I threw up all over the place and got kicked out before he took the stage. |

I'm with Darlene on this one. Queen. but I'll have to be a bit cheezy, lol. it'd have to be either "Love of My Life" or "Somebody to Love". both of those are so great… |

I'd go back and see (here's a surprise) the Monkees. I've gone to see them numerous times, but never as the whole band (all four). I'd love to see them in their hey day, thousands of fans screaming and falling all over themselves. That would be just fantastic! As far as a song…wow, I don't think I could pick just one…maybe Pleasant Valley Sunday. As much as I would love to hear my all time fave song, it involves only Micky--I'd want to see ALL of them sing & play. :) |

Queen. Definitely. With Freddie. There's far too many songs I would like to hear for me to pick just one. Elvis. If he could sing "Love Me Tender" to me with just a guitar, I would be the happiest girl in the world. |

The Beatles or the Velvet Underground

Mac…my mom touched Elvis in concert in the mid seventies…he wrapped the scarf around her neck… |
| Mac | Apr 10th 12:21 pm
So very jealous. Did she get to keep the scarf? |
| Taz | Apr 10th 2:13 pm
David -- I did see Supertramp back in the day..it was a great show… I have touched Jon Bon Jovi…damn he is hot! As for who would I like to go back and see…the Police. Now before you all tell me they have toured again…I am talking about them back in the early 80's…the Synchronicity tour |
| bnldavid | Apr 10th 2:34 pm
oh no Mac, he kinda just slipped it around her and pulled it back up on stage…..too bad. |
| MiT | Apr 10th 2:34 pm
Good one, Taz ! |
| Mac | Apr 10th 4:48 pm
Taz's got me thinkin'... Duran Duran. In the 80's. Its just not the same now that they're old. "The Chauffer" is my favourite song. I got to hear Simon and John perform live in studio on the radio one morning and it was fabulous. |

I saw The Police on the Synchronicity tour…it is in my top 5 of all-time favorite concerts… Ahhhh…back in the day of the all-day stadium shows…sun…beer and smoking pot…the good ol'days…. *sigh* |
| Wolfy | Apr 13th 2:21 pm
wow.. I can't believe many of you would see Queen… I'm with David on this one.. Supertramp… and I think the song I love the most.. is Crime of the Century…. Another would be Pink Floyd… too many to name…. |
| d | Apr 13th 7:02 pm
Pink Floyd? Blegh. One of the worst concerts I've ever been to. Of course, that's probably due to the fact that I don't really care for them. But, whatever. As for my own answer-- I'll have to give it more thought. |

Hmmm, I would have to say the Beatles. I think it would be so cool to see them back then but with the concert technology we have today. The one band I always wanted to see, but that never came to Seattle was Aztec Camera. They toured in the US, but they never made it here, I even remember the opened for Elvis Costello, but by the time he made it to Seattle, he had somebody else opening. Queen would have been so very awesome to see live. I can remember listening to Bohemian Rhapsody when I was like 8 and just being blown away. |

The Beatles in Hamburg, Germany. Back when they were playing in a strip club for 8 hours a day for 7 days a week. They did that for an entire year. That's how they got their "chops." Darlene - I have a bootleg CD of the Police from the Synchronicity Tour. Let me know if you want a copy. It's great quality.
