LOL….I got called about an hour ago from Cpher in bar in Boston warming up for the Sox home opener at Fenway.

No drunkeness yet….

But the best part of the call?

He had Nic with him and I got to talk to her!!!

Yea, we got to the bar around 8 am for a showing at the park at 1:00.  We had to be there early to see them handing out the rings…and raise the banner.

It does sound like you had a great time -- watching the awards & banner presentation on ESPN was very cool.  I took Munchkin out to dinner that night and two people in the booth behind us said "what's the big deal?  Why is it all about the Red Sox today?"  I thought the waiter was going to jump out of his shirt.  Its a sports bar -- they ALL wear team shirts on special days -- and they had a sign near the huge wall sized TV that said it was Opening Day!!

d -- the huge banner in Cphers pic - with the 2007 on it -- when they dropped it, it got caught in the wind and wouldn't come down ... I just found it amusing ...

I wasn't bugged (don't know where that came from). I was just not getting why you said 'FINALLY' and 'funny' about the banner. I wasn't aware that there was a wait caused by it being stuck.

ah -- gotcha -- i guess all the question marks changed your inflection in my mind (don't ask) ....

and to be honest, I sometimes forget that stuff that gets overplayed ad nauseam out here doesn't get the same air time everywhere else ... my bad.

Still…  Sox SUCK!

Next Monday, I'll be back at Boston Billiards drinking at 7 am for the 10 am Patriots Day Game.
