First, I did not come up with this concept. I asked a designer at a printing company to come up with a slide for an on screen ad for a small local theater.

This is what he gave me:

We like this so much, we'd like to do an entire marketing campaign in our 8 small town locations around this theme…..TV ads, Billboards, radio…the whole ball of wax.

What do you guys think of this?

I like the ad and think it would be cool on a movie screen but I think the quote is lame, you can come up with a better tag line.

I am pretty sure I cannot leave out the quote. It came from the Travel Leaders marketing team.

Wow…if you think its lame, they are in big trouble. Seriously, they think it is the neatest thing since sliced bread.

And you are in their major demo target. Female from 30-55..the major travel purchase decision makers.

Personally, I love it.  And, for what it's worth, I don't think the line is lame…

The ad does look pretty sharp, but I have to agree with Missy about the quote. 

Yup. The quote is not very desirable. But the ad looks fantastic!

Yeah, the ad itself looks great.  The tagline just seems a bit wordy and not very… "punchy".  Not horrible but definitely not something that is inspiring.  And really has little to do with the ad theme.  I also think the pic of the travel agents is distracting from the ad itself… just makes it too busy or something. 

Good layout. But I'm agreed on the clunky quote. Travel Leaders should flog its copy writers. ;)

I don't mind the quote. I think a different font might be in order. With Jen about the photo, they don't look as adventuresome as Indy.

In any case, be careful with your marketing. You may want to run it by a lawyer. The chances that anyone in Hollywood would try to sew you for some sort of copyright is pretty unlikely, but I don't know how legal it is to use a Indiana Jones' likeness in your advertising.

Now I feel like a sopping wet towel! Sorry, Davers. My initial reaction was "oh, that's great" and then you wanted detailed analysis….

When I read the quote it's like they're saying "Choose us and you'll travel good…not great, but better than usual.  Maybe you'll get an extra packet of peanuts and a pillow or something.  We'll make sure the peanuts happen, but we can't guarantee the pillow." 

Actually, you can use that quote if you want.  I won't charge you.

Even before reading all the responses, I didn't like the quote.  And shouldn't there be a question mark after "adventure"?

I don't mind the picture too much, but I can see what Jen is saying.  It doesn't fit the motif of the ad very well.

Oh, and I almost typed what Fleck said about the question mark but didn't want to sound overcritical. LOL.

I am not sure on the lawsuit issue. I dont know where the designer got the photo from or if it is legit.

Well in that case, throw some nudity in there as well.  Naked breasts are always a selling point.

I tried, Jen turned me down.

I should have offered 20 cases of spotted cow instead of only 10.

I'm afraid my boobs aren't even worth a sixer.
