DAMN!!  I can't wait!

Ugh, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

I am so fucking stoked it's not even funny. My earliest memories -- as a tyke in the 1970's -- were of staying up late to watch Star Trek on syndicated TV.

I don't mind the changes at all. It's a story. A myth. Myths are mutable. How many versions of Perseus or Hercules are there? How many different versions of the King Arthur story? 

And as far as the actors go… well, you know, there's a reason the original series actors didn't really work much other than Star Trek. I love them for what they meant for me as a child, but they're not exactly tough acts to follow.

The opening scene was lame, but the rest is awesome.  I like how they were able to stay true to the original Trek while not looking chintzy.
