No, not necessarily like the different Star Treks. This is more like a "re-imagining" of the original series rather than a spin-off. Far more complex, far more realistic, and far more compelling. |

I think 2003, they seem to have quite a time span between seasons….still haven't watched the new epeisode…plan to tonight. JRB
