So….we planned a fun easter dinner on Saturday night with the kids and Shawnie boy at Devon Seafood Grill…the place Jenna works in the north shore of Milwaukee at Bayshore Town Center.

Anyhow. I got my hair cut/colored on Saturday morning. (This is important to the story). We watched the Badgers win and got to the restaurant about 6pm.

Jenna was waiting at the hostess stand with a huge grin. She said that someone had evidentally dropped off a "gift basket" for our table. Weird.

Got to our table to find a basket with a huge bottle of champagne, chocolates and stuff. Plus a $100 gift card for the restaurant. Wow. WTF?

Under the basket was a greeting card. I read it and got very very emotional.

It was from Spence.

Remember…when we had to give up our beautiful yellow lab guster, we gave him to Spence who had lost his wife about a year earlier to cancer.

The card was written as if the dog was the writer. Very cool. Said how he loved us and would always remember how we took care of him, trained him and ultimately, found him the perfect home on a farm with someone who cherishes his company everynight and how they are best buddies and keep each other from being alone.

When I called him yesterday to thank him, they were sitting on the couch, watching basketball with the dog right next to him.

and you were probably blabbing away on what you were doing for Easter… and that was totally sweet of him to do that..
just confirms that you found Guster an amazing home where he is spoilt rotton I am sure!!!!

oh yeah. We plan on going to see him when it warms up.

David…that brought tears to *my* eyes!  Very sweet.  And, as Wolfy said…you found him the perfect home…
